Brooke LaRae Resendez

 Brooke LaRae Resendez, Age 42 of Newport, MN died Monday, April 24, 2023 at her home.

Brooke was born to Camille Slater and William Gauthier on February 25, 1981, at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN.  She enjoyed writing poems, crafting, and doing hair.  Brooke was a funny, quick-witted girl who was always playing jokes on you.

She will be remembered by her two beautiful daughters Cyenna and Liliana Resendez; her mother Camille (Mark) Slater; Grandmother Dorothy Slater, siblings, Nicholas (Hannah) Slater, Brittany (Jake) Meier and William Gauthier; nephews Cody, Dominic, Sullivan, Braylon, Harley, and Cooper; nieces Mackenzi, Willow, Olivia, and Serenity; cousins Shane, Sara, Tiffany, Scott, Tawney, Dustin, Jerry lee, Katelyn, Nicole, Danielle, Jay, Jessica, Chase, Resa and Bones; and many other cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family Terra and Andy Schindeldecker.

Brooke is preceded in death by her father, William Gauthier; Grandparents Jerome (Buzzz) Slater and William and Patricia Gauthier; uncle Jerry Slater and aunt Kimberly Slater.

A Celebration of Life for Brooke will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 12PM-3PM, with a time of sharing at 1PM, followed by a luncheon at SUMMIT Funeral & Cremation, 6415 Carmen Ave. E, Inver Grove Heights, MN.
