Carol Ann Higgins

Carol Ann Higgins, beloved Wife, Sister, Aunt, and Grandmother, 74 years old, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2023.

Carol was a loving, devoted wife, grandmother, sister, step-mom, aunt, and friend to the many people that were blessed to be part of her life.  She was a hard working and dedicated worker that spent many years at Daytons and Schuler shoes as a manager.  She was a creative seamstress who loved traveling, camping, cooking, gardening, birdwatching,  celebrating winter carnival, and entertaining in the backyard shed with her amazing neighbors.  Her favorite places to travel were the North Shore, Ireland, and anywhere that Mick was.  

She was a shining light that loved us with all her heart and because of that we are forever grateful for the time we had with her.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Mick Higgins, Brother Gerald (Oona), Benjamin (Marsha) Grandchildren Milo (Mother Michelle) and Finley (Mother Katie); brothers in law Frank (Linda), Carl (Karen), David (Julie), and many nieces and nephews.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Clarice Lanahan, Step-son Shane Clifton, very special aunt Florence, siblings Marie, Bill, Diane, and Dorothy.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 8th from 4-7 p.m. at SUMMIT Funeral & Cremation 6415 Carmen Ave E, Inver Grove Heights, MN.  A memorial service will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Luther Memorial Church (315 15th Avenue North, South St. Paul, MN) with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
