Frances Louise Schmitt, age 74, of Apple Valley, MN

Fran passed due to respiratory complications on Monday, November 16th; she was born in Baraboo, WI.

She worked for Unisys Corporation for 37 years in the computer assembly division. She loved to garden, ride motorcycles, fish, hunt, sewing and crafts. She loved her family with her whole heart and loved making her great grandkids smile – even sending them strange things in the mail just so they could get mail. Her great granddaughter said it best when she said “Nana - Grannie is in heaven and happy to be there with our other family”.

She was preceded in death by her parents Emil & Louise Hynek, brothers Ira and Floyd Hynek. She is survived by daughter Sherri (Mike) Mohn, son(s) Theodore Van Cleave & Christian Stibbe. In addition to her children, she is survived by her grandchildren Billy (Brittany) Mohn, Dani (Erik) Haugland, Andrea (Matt) Jacobsen, Tyler (Maddie) Van Cleave, Noah Van Cleave, Kelsey Stibbe and four great grandchildren Piper, Parker, Colt, and Riley and brother Erik Hynek.

There will be a celebration of life next spring when we are able to gather and share stories of our time together.
