Gary C. Hallich, age 73, formerly of Bloomington, MN passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN.
Gary enlisted in the US Army in 1964 and was stationed in Germany and was honorably discharged in 1967. He married Sherry "Cher" Grahn on October 16, 1970. That union was blessed with one daughter, Shani Terese Hallich (Leverson). He was an avid woodsman, die hard motorcyclist, and enjoyed long walks in the woods admiring the beauty. Gary was a long time collector of die cast model cars, and rare guns. He had a love for all things history; special dates in world history, the history channel, and the show American Pickers. His time spent with grandkids was enjoyed outdoors; playing at parks and lots of swinging. Gary enjoyed his later years up north in Talmoon and Spring Lake, MN, making trips back to the twin cities to visit family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, beloved grandma, and his mother and father in law.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Shani (Jeff) Pace; siblings John, Jim, Della; ex-wife Sherry "Cher" Grahn; grandchildren Sayde, Raquel, Jager; great grand daughter, Aaliyah, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Memorials preferred.
