Lawrence Lee Lubbers

Lawrence L. Lubbers, aka "Larry" went home to be with the Lord on March 8th, 2023, after battling Glioblastoma brain cancer.

Larry was born on October 16, 1953, to Lawrence and Rosemary Lubbers.  At a young age his parents were divorced and Larry and his siblings were placed in foster care.  Larry was placed with special needs care and his siblings elsewhere.  Needless to say, it was a very difficult beginning.

 Larry was reunited with his mother and siblings in his early 20's.  Larry was a very hard worker over the course of his life and he made a lot of friends everywhere he went.  Larry enjoyed attending pro-wrestling events and loved to watch various sports events as well.  Even though Larry's beginnings were extremely difficult, that didn't stop him from being a loving, kind, compassionate and thoughtful person.  He made an impact on every life he touched.  He also loved to clean up America.  Inver Grove Heights may not look as tidy now! 

Larry was also very active in speaking out for others with disabilities.  He was extremely committed and compassionate to those with any form of disability.

 Larry was blessed to be married on August 13, 2016, to the love of his life Caryn Dirzc.  They spent twenty plus years together and enjoyed travel and numerous other adventures together.  They both loved the Lord and found their Church home at Grace Church of the Nazarene.  They were deeply loved, welcomed and supported by their Church family.

Larry is preceded in death by his mother Rosemary Lubbers, and his sister Linda Nordgaard.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Caryn and her family, his sister Lorrie Jacobson (Timothy), his brother Bryan Lubbers, his sister Ranee Sulfridge and numerous nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life service will be held at Grace Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, March 18th at 2p.m.
