Miguel Angel Luna Varela, 57, of Inver Grove Heights, MN passed away surrounded by his family on the morning of September 18, 2023 at Regions hospital.

Miguel was born on October 23, 1965 in Mexico City, Mexico to Efren Luna Melendez and Irene Varela Carmona. He lived there with his family until he moved to California at 18. Where he then met Carolyn (Sales). They had two daughters together, Miranda Jane Luna and Michelle Angela Luna. He was a devoted father to his two daughters and made sure his family was always taken care of. He took immense pride in the accomplishments and happiness of his daughters, always being their guiding light and unyielding source of support.

He was a hard working man that worked many years in different factory jobs. He also had a passion for cooking and was a a sous-chef when he was younger and had the honor to serve president Clinton.

Beyond his professional achievements, Miguel will be remembered for his kind heart, warm smile, and unwavering love for his family. He loved riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, watching movies, doing word cross puzzles, fixing things, had a collection of hats and tools, loved exploring new places, embracing different cultures, and was always ready to try new experiences. He also had love for the lord, read his bible, and went to church.

Although our hearts ache with Miguel's departure, may we find solace in the memories we shared and the love he bestowed upon us all. His legacy of love, resilience, and compassion will forever live on.

Miguel is proceeded in death by his father Efren. And he is survived by his mother Irene of Cuernavaca, MX. His sister Oliva (Torres) of Inver Grove Heights, MN. His brothers Geraldo Luna Varela and Alejandro Luna Varela of Cuernavaca, MX. His daughters Miranda Luna of Newburgh, IN and Michelle Luna of Evansville, IN. His two grand sons Kameron and Kingstyn. And his many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rest in peace, dear Miguel. You will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing you.
