Patrick A. Cochrane of Apple Valley, MN, went to meet Jesus on September 29, 2021 at the age of 71.
Pat was born on July 23, 1950, in Minneapolis, MN. He was the sixth child of Kenneth and Regina Cochrane.
Pat attended Nativity Catholic School before graduating from Lincoln High School in Bloomington, MN. Pat was a popular and friendly guy; every one wanted to be his friend. He met Teresa (Terri) Amundson and they got married on February 18, 1972.
Pat and Terri happily welcomed three children while residing in Apple Valley, MN. Pat attended Dunwoody College and worked as a salesperson until he began his own business, Cochrane Wire Harness Company in 1992. The Cochrane family moved to Credit River Township, in Prior Lake, MN, where Pat would continue to run his business out of his “shop,” located on his home property.
In 1997 Pat suffered a life threatening brain aneurysm. Despite a few setbacks, he recovered and continued his business and family life, almost seamlessly.
Pat lived for his family. He was very prideful of his work and would do anything for his children. He often used the saying, “style and profile,” because he loved to see his children work hard for something and succeed. He loved to travel, swim in the pool, golf, bask in the sun covered in Hawaiian Tropic oil, drink coffee and Diet Coke simultaneously, and listen to a variety of music, including The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Bob Marley, Huey Lewis and the News, and the Spice Girls.
Pat lived his life to the fullest, never complained (unless it was about his bad hips or Democrats) and was the best Dad to his children and Papa to his grandchildren.
During Pat’s last years on earth, he struggled with substance abuse and lung cancer.
Pat is survived by former spouse Terri Cochrane, son Nick (Rachael) Cochrane, and Daughters, Amber (Jake) Wells, and Natalie (Craig) Heiman; as well as five grandchildren Raleigh, Gavin, Summer, Beckett, and Hadley. Pat is survived by his sisters Jan (John) Faber and Carol (Rick) Nistler. Pat was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Regina; sister Mary Lou; and brothers Tom, Mike, and Kenny.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Eagle Brook Church, 11125 Eastview Road, Woodbury, MN. Visitation will be held beforehand, from 10-11 a.m. Due to road construction, please follow detour signs.
A special thank you to the family and staff at Two Caring Hands for their loving care and support during his final days.
