Rene Rose Gardner

Rene Rose Gardner, age 61, passed away at Welia Health in Mora, Minnesota on December 25, 2022. 

Rene was born on January 4, 1961 to Duane and Betty Blair in Wichita Falls, Texas. When she was 16, she met Bert Gardner. They married on March 17, 1979 and settled in Grasston, Minnesota. Together they shared a love of dogs, started their family, and even had a few livestock animals to entertain their grandchildren. They had an amicable divorce in 2020. When Rene wasn’t spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she loved walking the dirt roads in search of agates, making necklaces, and thrift store shopping. She was a caring woman who loved her family, no matter how crazy they drove her. Rene had a laugh and a smile that would light up the whole room. She will be missed by so many people. 

Rene is preceded in death by her father and mother, brothers Russell and David, and ex husband Bert. She is survived by her daughters Jenny (Josh), Heather (Arron), and Nicole Koffler; son in law Darrell. Grandchildren Brooke (Michael), Jasmine, Davonte, Marshall (Kayla), Taylor (Charlie), Joshua, John, and Cash. Great Grandchildren Keith, Isla, Maleah, Wesley, and Mason. Brother Jimmy (Marla) Blair. Sisters Debbie (Greg) Belland, and Linda Paulson. Along with her special friend, Mike Whiteford. 

A celebration of life is currently pending for warmer weather. Interment will happen at Czech National Cemetery in Pine City, Minnesota.
