Troy L Pittman

Troy L Pittman, age 55, of Lakeville MN passed away peacefully on November 11, 2021 after complications from a long battle with diabetes.

Troy was born in Amery WI and grew up in Reeve WI.  He was a member of the FFA and played in high school band, graduating in 1984. In 1986 he moved to MN and began working at Mesaba Airlines.  It was at Mesaba that he met his future wife Sandy. After 15 years at Mesaba, Troy moved on to become a dispatcher and then found his true passion of scrapping/recycling metal.

Troy and Sandy enjoyed many outdoor activities like camping, hiking and snowmobiling and of course rarely missed the annual fish boil and trips to the deershack.  Together they raised their boxer Toby. Troy was an avid Packer & NASCAR fan and enjoyed many a Leinenkugel.  20 years after they met, Troy and Sandy were married outdoors by the lake. 

Troy was proceeded in death by his parents Ted & Joanne Pittman and beloved dog Toby. He is survived by his wife Sandy and siblings Ted (Lora Harms) Pittman, Teresa (Ken) Barrick, Trudy Pittman and Todd (Kim) Pittman. In-laws Bob & Marlys Linkert, Duane (Anne) Linkert, Susan (Chris) Edman, Ann (Paul) Korhonen. Nieces and Nephews  BreeSean Pittman, Brendan Pittman, Braden Pittman, Justin (Laura Field) Schultz, Emily Schultz, Trevor Millsaps, Turner Pittman, Melissa Linkert, Benjamin (Sarah) Linkert, Jason (Sara Groetsch) Edman, Alexis Babcock, Amanda Babcock, Joshua Edman, Matthew Babcock & Hannah Edman as well as an abundance of cousins, extended family and friends.

Visitation is planned for Friday, November 19th starting at 4:00pm followed by a memorial service at 7:00pm
