Licensed Mortician/Owner
Derek is a licensed mortician in MN & WI. He knew from the age of 4 he was going to be a funeral director. His passion for helping people continued to grow. Upon completion of his internship, "Glenna Mortuary Trade Service" was created. A "funeral home coverage" service offered exclusively to funeral homes in MN & WI.
The idea of creating an "affordable funeral provider" that offered the highest quality signature service, but also the BEST affordability was something he knew he was called to do.
Licensed Insurance Producer & Support Staff
Emily grew up in South St. Paul. She is a licensed Insurance Producer for the state of Minnesota, and is a notary public. She attended Minnesota State University, Mankato and obtained her Bachelor’s of Science Nursing degree. Derek and Emily met in Mankato while attending college. Their wedding took place in August 2013 at Augustana Lutheran Church in West St. Paul and they now have two loving children, Benjamin and Gabriel. Emily loves to go camping, and spending time with her family. She enjoys bringing her boys to South St. Paul Early Childhood classes and swim classes at the Grove in Inver Grove Heights.

Support Staff
Kim’s professional background consists of health information management, educator, worship leader, and administrative assistant. Here at SUMMIT Funeral & Cremation she helps with everything from paperwork to cleaning. In her spare time, she coordinates a prayer ministry and volunteers at her church. She and her husband Scott enjoy making music together, RVing, and spending time with their family especially their four grandchildren.
Funeral Director Assistant
Brad has a professional background as a Firefighter/Paramedic and also served on a metro SWAT team as a tactical medic. Brad resides in Elko New Market Township with his family and enjoys working on his hobby farm. Brad has a close connection with the families he serves, after loosing his father and sister. Brad has a passion for helping families navigate through the process of loosing a loved one and considers this a "Ministry in helping and serving others"

Laurie has a professional background in hospice nursing and photography; professionally trained midwife for the dying and owner of The Passage Planner. Laurie recently moved to South Saint Paul with her husband of 28 years, with whom she shares two adult children and one granddaughter. Laurie enjoys cooking, practicing energy work, and bible study. Laurie and her husband attend Berean Baptist Church in Burnsville.
